Establishment of IEEE Shikoku, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima Joint Section Women In Engineering Affinity Group (WIE)

In August of 2020, the IEEE Shikoku, Fukuoka, Hiroshima Joint Section
Women In Engineering Affinity Group (WIE) was established in collaboration with the Shikoku and Fukuoka sections.

The purpose of WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technology disciplines.

Preparation meetings of the WIE establishment were held 2 times.

The establishment of IEEE Shikoku, Fukuoka, Hiroshima Joint Section
Women In Engineering Affinity Group (WIE) was approved on August 26,
2020.

Vice Chair : Hiromi Yuasa (Kyushu University)

Secretary : Miho Tsutsumi (Micron Gives Japan)

Treasurer : Hironori Takimoto (Okayama Prefectural University)

・設立イベントについて
WIE establishment workshop will be held in Nov. 21, 2020.
(Preparation meetings of the workshop was held online on Oct. 1 2020. )
The workshop will be held online to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

フレッシュITあわ～ど2019の応募のご案内

電子情報通信学会中国支部学生会主催の「フレッシュITあわ～ど2019」を今年も実
施いたします．

本コンテストは一昨年まで実施していた「学生ケータイあわ～ど」を継承し，より幅広くモバイルデバイスに関するアイデアや実際に作成したアプリケーションを募集するイベントです．

〇アイデア部門
下記のテーマに沿ったアイデアを募集します．現在は実現不可能でも，近い将来実現が期待されるアイデアが望ましいです．
テーマ：　新時代「令和」！つながりで作る価値

〇作品部門
応募者が実際に製作したアプリケーションを募集します．自由なアイデアとあなたの持つ技術をフル活用してください．中国地方の大学・大学院・小中高・高専・専門学校の学生・生徒・児童なら誰でも応募できますので，貴学の学生・生徒・児童の方々はもちろんのこと，お近くの学校の方にもお知らせいただければ幸いです．

応募期間は8月1日(木)から9月19日(木)です．

Call for Papers:
The IWEIC 2019 is sponsored by Hiroshima City University of Japan and Southwest University of China and in cooperation with IEEE Hiroshima Section of Japan. The objective of this international workshop is to provide a forum for students, educators, researchers and engineers involved in the general areas of electronics, information and communication to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views on the future research direction of these fields.

The themes of interest include, but not limited to the following:

Artificial intelligence (AI), Information processing, knowledge processing and big-data utilization
Wireless network, sensor network and network of things (IoT)
Robotics, intelligent vehicle, mechatronics and automation
Visual and acoustic information processing, brain-computer interface and biomedical applications
Evolutionary computing, bio-informatics, fuzzy systems and neural networks
Any industrial, agricultural, medical and social management applications on information processingsystem and computing technology
