Japan Joint Chapter

IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Japan Joint Chapter is the branch of the IEEE PES in Japan and serves the IEEE PES members whose registered location of activities is in Japan.

Since the Japanese language is more convenient for those members, news and information of the chapter's activities are fully provided on its home page written in Japanese. So, this page provides an outline of its activities only.

The IEEE PES Japan Joint Chapter was formed by its nine predecessor chapters in Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo, Shinetsu, Nagoya, Kansai, Hiroshima, Shikoku and Fukuoka on December 23, 2015.

Its activities include awarding of the IEEE PES Japan Joint Chapter Student Best Paper Award for encouraging young engineers in the field of power & energy, promotion of local meetings in a close relationship with the Power & Energy Society, Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ), support of member-grade elevation, and so on.
