【タイトル】

Alternative charge storage materials for NAND Flash - Requirements

and Challenges

【概要】

FG NAND flash is nearing its scaling limits somewhere near the

20nm node. Alternative charge storage mediums are being searched for

evolutionary replacement of FG cell. This talk will focus on some of the

experimental and simulation work done in the area of SiN and metal

nanodot based charge storage mediums. Key challenges and possible

solutions will be discussed.

【略歴】

Souvik Mahapatra received his PhD from IIT Bombay, India in 1999. He

worked at Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ during 2000-01, and since 2002 he

is with IIT Bombay and presently a Professor in the Department of

Electrical Engineering. His rearch interests are gate stacks for logic

and memory devices, and thin film photovoltaics. He has published more

than 100 peer reviewed journals and conference papers in the above

areas, and given invited talks and invited tutorials in leading

conferences in USA, Europe and Asia, including the IEEE IEDM and IRPS.

He is a senior member of IEEE and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE EDS.
