Analysis of Differential Paired-Lines and Its Multi-Objective Design using Preference Set-based Design Method

Multi-channel differential-signaling is widely used to establish a high-speed digital propagation with low electromagnetic interference (EMI). For actual differential-signaling system, the ideal balance or symmetrical topology cannot be established, and hence, an imbalance component is excited. In this lecture, signal integrity and EMI performances of asymmetrical differential-paired lines are discussed firstly. Then multi-objective satisfactory design method called as Preference Set-Based Design (PSD) are applied to design of differential-paired lines.

Current situation of Noise Suppression Sheet ~application and characteristics~

Noise Suppression Sheet (NSS) is widely used for countermeasures of electromagnetic interference inside electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets and laptop PCs.
Types of NSS varies based on required operating frequency range and use cases.
From now on, 5th Generation mobile communication will be spread and speeding up of electronic devices will be much more accelerating.
As such, designing of NSS should make further consideration for not only permeability frequency characteristics but also Permittivity.
In this report, it gives an introduction to application and characteristics of NSS taking “Busteraid” for example.
