講演者略歴(Biography)：
■Dr. Richard Gowen（IEEE History Committee Chair）
Dr. Gowen is the President of the IEEE Foundation and a IEEE History Committee Chair. He is the 1984 Centennial President of the IEEE, and has served in IEEE Section, Chapter, Society, Region, Division, and Board positions. A Commissioner of the 1999-2000 Congressional Web-Based Education Commission, he has provided leadership to industry, education, and government, including the direction of space biomedical research and supercomputer development. He was also the 1998-2000 President of Eta Kappa Nu, the honor society for electrical and computer engineering. He was also the president of Dakota State University from 1984-1987, and the president of the technological research university, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, from 1987-2003. He is the Executive Director of the Homestake Laboratory Conversion Project to create the world's premier deep underground scientific research laboratory in an 8000ft former mine.
■白川 功 氏（兵庫県立大学大学院教授）
大阪大学において大型計算機センター長、工学部長・研究科長、総長補佐等を歴任し、現在は名誉教授。98年に国立大学初の産学連携ベンチャー「株式会社シンセシス」を設立し、現在は取締役。2004年に兵庫県立大学大学院応用情報科学研究科長・教授に就任。電子情報通信学会 名誉員、Fellow、IEEE Life Fellow、IEEE Region 10 Industry Liaison Committee Chair。電子情報通信学会から業績賞、功績賞を受賞。
■井上 和夫 氏（元近畿日本鉄道（株）））
昭和29年3月：京都大学工学部電気工学科卒業、同年4月：近畿日本鉄道株式会社入社、昭和47年：大阪大学工学博士、昭和60年6月：取締役就任、平成5年6月：代表取締役副社長、平成9年6月：取締役退任。
■田中寿雄 氏（元オムロン（株））
1960年、立命館大学理工学部電気工学科卒業後、同大学電気工学科助手を経て、立石電機(株)（現オムロン(株)）中央研究所に入社。1962年〜1976年、主として自動改札機の開発に従事し、京都府知事賞、近畿発明協会賞などを多数受賞する。 現在、オムロンＯＢで設立した特定非営利活動法人「ＸＯクラスター」理事・事務局長。また、（独）中小企業基盤整備機構近畿支部において、『新連携 支援サブマネージャー（ＳＭ）』を兼務。
