IEEE 広島支店Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) Chapter

 

Overview

The IEEE Hiroshima, Japan Section, Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Chapter has been formed on November, 2005.

Chapter activities include research, education, industrial, and social collaboration in the area of computational intelligence and its applications.

There are several topics that have been discussed, such as human factors, energy process engineering, and intelligent systems.

Till to date, the chapter organized and sponsored the following activities:

  1. 1st International Workshop on Computational Intelligence, Hiroshima, 23 January 2005
  2. Invited IEEE Distinguished Lecture, “Distributed Intelligent Systems”, 23 January 2005
  3. Invited Lecture, “Current Research in the Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence”, 23 January 2005
  4. Organized Two Special Sessions on “Advances in Process Control & Safety”, at the SICE International Conference, Korea - Oct, 2006.
  5. Invited Lecture, Organized Technical Meeting at Okayama University, Oct-2006.

 

目的

The intermediate and long term aims of the Chapter are:

  • Actively introduce this Chapter and IEEE, and recruit new members, in particular, student members.
  • Organize industrial collaboration seminars and technical talks to promote science and engineering practices in real applications with the industry.
  • Form work groups with industry to address critical issues, such as product design, industrial safety, environment, and social systems.
