Establishment and Outline of Organization

The IEEE Japan Council was formed in June 1999 for the purpose of providing a centralized coordinating organization of all eight sections in Japan. Shin-etsu Section was also established in June 2006. Therefore there are nine sections in Japan as of October 2006.
