IEEE EMC Society Japan Chapter

Chair's Greetings

Dear colleagues,

The broadbandization of mobile network, the advanced electric power supply and demand service which cooperate with information communication technologies, the wireless power transmission (WPT) technology applied to electric vehicle (EV) aiming to the low carbon society and others, as these services which use advanced technologies in electric, electronic and information communication fields are progressing, the electromagnetic environment is increasingly gets complex. Under this situation, the problems of ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) are inextricably associated with those advanced technologies at all times.

The area of EMC covers a broad range from electromagnetic interferences (EMI) by disturbing waves and immunity problems to biological effects of electromagnetic fields, various kinds of countermeasures and standardization issues. These days with the fusion of academia systems continuing to develop, EMC is characterized as an academic area that has been progressed in anticipation of this e fusion f from early on. Amid calls for the need of sustainable society to build, not only on the position of engineering but on the position linked with global environmental energy issues, the EMC research activities are desired.

IEEE EMC Society Japan Chapter, one of two EMC chapters in Japan, is strongly driving EMC activities forward. We would be very grateful for your participation, cooperation and support.

Sincerely yours.

Prof. Nobuo Kuwabara
